Perchance one day the Shadow stopped,
And took a moment to have a thought.
Looking high and far above,
She wondered who she shadowed of.
“Who is this one that I reflect in part?
Who is the real, the one unseen?
That as she stands in a constant Son,
This shadow is cast, and my life unspun?”
For the world of shadows transpires thus
Time begins and ends and meanders within.
The shadows see what only shadows can,
The fleeting vapor of mere man.
But seated high and with the King
Is the real-est of all real things,
A royal one whose gaze is upon
The ever shining firstborn Son.
So thought the shadow to herself,
“Am I more there than here below?
For a shadow is cast from something real –
But surely I can taste and feel.”
So if this all is just a taste of Truth,
Beyond the veil I must go forth
For eternity is in my heart,
One day to see fully and not in part.
He raised us up with Christ the exalted One, and we ascended with him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm, for we are now co-seated as one with Christ!
